Meet Mary and Geoffrey Dell
Geoffrey Dell and Mary Dell Growponics IndianaI have always been a hobby gardener. As a young boy, I remember helping my Mom and Dad work in their big city backyard “Victory Garden” in Buffalo NY. My Mom and Dad taught me the value of eating fresh veggies at an early age. And it sure helped cut the grocery bill of a growing family. My wife, Mary, and I have been avid gardeners our entire adult lives.

For the past 30 years, I had worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Maintenance Engineer Technician. Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical controls and Automation was my area of expertise. I was manufacturing medications for folks to help them when they get sick. My new career is now growing healthy green vegetables to help prevent people from getting sick. Proper nutrition is so important to a healthy lifestyle.

Through the years, I would always expand my garden a little each year so that I could plant more veggies to share them with my neighbors and friends. I always thought that expanding a garden is one sure way to prosper by the work of your own hands. One day, I was in my garden observing that I was at the end of my ability to expand my garden any further. My yard was pretty much full. I began to think to myself, “now what am I going to do to increase my yields?” A Greenhouse was the immediate response to my “self- inquiry.”

I began looking for opportunities and discovered Growponics Americas Hydroponic Greenhouses. I learned that I could apply my technical skills to my lifelong interest of growing vegetables for sale to local and regional markets. I could retire from my first career with a brand new plan. This seemed to me to be opportunity made in heaven. Yes, there is life after a full career. And it can just keep getting better!
